London Buses Route N136 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Oxford Circus and Chislehurst, it is operated by London Central.
History
Route N136 commenced operating on 9 February 2008 between Oxford Circus Vere Street and Chislehurst War Memorial via Oxford Street - Regent Street - Piccadilly Circus - Haymarket - Cockspur Street - Trafalgar Square) - Whitehall - Parliament Street - Westminster Station - Parliament Square - Broad Sanctuary - Victoria Street - Victoria Station - Vauxhall Bridge Road - Vauxhall Station Bus Station - Kennington Lane - Durham Street - Harleyford Road - - Kennington (Oval Station) - Camberwell New Road - Camberwell Green - Camberwell Church Street - Peckham Road - Peckham High Street - Queen's Road - Queen's Road Peckham Station - Queen's Road - Kender Street - Besson Street - New Cross Road - New Cross Gate - New Cross Road - Amersham Road - Lewisham Way - Loampit Hill - Loampit Vale - - Lewisham High Street - Lewis Grove - Lewisham High Street - Rushey Green - Catford - Bromley Road - Downham Way - Baring Road - Grove Park Station - Chinbrook Road - Marvels Lane - Dunkery Road - Mottingham Road - White Horse Hill - Red Hill - High Street - Centre Common Road. The route was operated by Selkent at their Catford (TL) garage using Alexander ALX400 bodied Dennis Tridents. The route was introduced to replace the withdrawn section of route N36 between Oxford Circus and Grove Park.
On 9 February 2013, the route was retained by Stagecoach London using brand new Alexander Dennis Enviro 400s.
In 2014, brand new Alexander Dennis Enviro 400Hs were introduced.
On 27 May 2017, the route passed to London Central operating from their New Cross (NX) garage using Alexander Dennis Enviro 400Hs and Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B5LHs.
