London Buses route 690 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between West Norwood and Burntwood School, it is operated by London General.


History

On 1 September 2001, the route was retained by Arriva London.

In September 2005, the ECW bodied Leyland Olympians were replaced by low floor Alexander ALX400 bodied DAF DB250LFs.

On 2 September 2006, the route was retained by Arriva London.

On 1 September 2008, the route was rerouted in Clapham Common direct via Clapham Common South Side instead of Rookery Road and Old Town.

On 3 September 2011, the route was retained by Arriva London.

In April 2015, the existing Alexander ALX400 bodied DAF DB250LFs were replaced by existing Alexander ALX400 bodied Volvo B7TLs.

On 3 September 2016, the route was retained by Arriva London.

In November 2017, the existing Alexander ALX400 bodied Volvo B7TLs were replaced by existing Alexander Dennis Enviro 400s.

On 4 September 2021, the route passed to London General operating from their Waterside Way (PL) garage, using existing Wright Eclipse Gemini 3 bodied Volvo B5LHs.
